This beautiful yet tiny bathroom remodel in San Diego, California is like having a spa right in your own home. We transformed a dated, small bathroom into a bright and fresh space that’s both professionally design and professionally built. The bathroom remodel entailed completely demolishing the bathroom fixtures and taking taking the room right down to the studs and bar concrete floor.
The careful installation of all new plumbing, electrical, expert ceramic tiling, a new window, and a host of other features turned this 6’x8′ tiny bathroom remodel in San Diego into a wonderful space. Borrowing from the lovely work of Julie Nolta Design’s Eastside Bathroom in Portland, Oregon as seen on Houzz, we took many of her design elements to recreate the same masterpiece the San Carlos neighborhood of San Diego, California.
Some key features of this tiny bathroom remodel in San Diego are the use of three different white-colored subway tiles for the tub and shower walls. The random design patter of the subway tiles was continued throughout the lower half of the bathroom walls. A glass mosaic was used to compliment the subway tiles by adding color and interest to the white subway tiles. The mosaic was capped with a tile chair rail on the bathroom walls.
The same chair rail was also used to create a frame, with mitered corners, around the new window, two insets, and even an inset toilet tissue holder. The quality of the tiles is further complimented by the new, cast-iron Kohler tub. The walls and subway tile for the tub/shower walls are topped with crown moulding. A vibrant yet subtle blue color was used for the ceiling paint, and a soft green for the walls. LED lighting and a nice quiet exhaust fan help keep the tiny bathroom remodel in San Diego bright and fresh.
